Rushika Shekhar

Rushika Shekhar is a Program Delivery Manager for Project Last Mile (PLM), a public-private partnership administered by the Global Environment and Technology Foundation.

Rushika manages program delivery and execution across PLM’s route-to-market and strategic marketing programs across Africa, and has supported PLM’s program design and implementation in 9 countries since joining the team in 2019.

Rushika has almost a decade of experience designing and managing development programs across Asia and Africa. Previously, Rushika worked as a project manager at Dimagi, a social enterprise focused on leveraging mobile technology to improve last-mile service delivery. At Dimagi, Rushika led partnerships and business development for Asia and managed a range of projects from small pilots to national scale implementations, focused primarily on India and Myanmar. She is passionate about leveraging innovative technologies, partnerships, and business-based solutions to strengthen how international development programs can drive social impact. 

Rushika is originally from Singapore and graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs, with a Masters in Global Human Development from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. She is currently based in Cape Town, South Africa.
