Juan Antonio Andara García
Juan Antonio Andara García is a senior environmental management specialist and project leader with deep expertise in sustainable development, water security, climate change adaptation, ecological restoration and conducting environmental impact assessments.
He designs, coordinates and manages the implementation of complex sustainability and water replenishment projects across Central America, the Caribbean and Andean countries, providing technical expertise for global corporations, international cooperation agencies and public institutions.
Juan Antonio’s career blends significant consulting experience with an entrepreneurial mindset. Over the past year, he has added technical support roles in water, sustainability and corporate communications for The Coca-Cola Company, Cargill and other Latin American firms. Since 2015, he has served as Project Manager and Senior Environmental Consultant at Caura Consulting, where he leads multidisciplinary teams, develops and secures public and private bids, oversees budgets, evaluates environmental and social risks and ensures compliance with national and international standards.
As a Project Manager for Central America, the Caribbean, and Andean countries at GETF and GWC, Juan Antonio oversees regional initiatives, including Replenish 2.0 projects and WASH programs in over 10 countries. He collaborates closely with public utilities, government institutions, community organizations and global companies, such as Coca-Cola and Cargill.
Juan Antonio holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from UCV in Venezuela, specialization in Environmental Management from USB in Venezuela and multiple international certifications in ecosystem restoration, climate change and climate adaptation.
